What is HootyCall? HootyCall is a new online service that allows users to send anonymous email to their friends, a Hooty. A Hooty allows you to remain anonymous while telling the truth to someone you call about. What is a hooty? A Hooty is the anonymous message that the HootyCall service sends. What if you don't have a Hooty that says what I am trying to say? Click the Suggest a Hooty link. This can be found on most pages on the left side. How can I increase the chance any new Hooty I suggest is accepted and published? Do not use profanity, offensive wording, or derogatory language based on race, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental handicaps, etc. Hooties cannot be any longer than XX . How do I block hooties from a particular anonymous sender? Click the Block Hooties link. This can be found on most pages on the left side. How do I block hooties from a known email account? Click the Block Hooties link. This can be found on most pages on the left side. How do I block ALL hooties? Click the Block Hooties link. This can be found on most pages on the left side. What is a sent Hooty? A sent Hooty is a Hooty that was created and sent. This means a notification went to the recipient via email that they had a Hooty waiting. What is a pending Hooty? A pending Hooty is a sent Hooty that has not been viewed by the recipient. What is a received Hooty? A received Hooty is a hooty that was successfully viewed by the recipient. What is a bounced Hooty? A bounced Hooty is a sent Hooty where the email notification was not able to reach the sender. As a result, we received a notice back that there was a problem with the email address associated. What is a responded Hooty? A responded Hooty is a Hooty where the recipient responded back to the sender. Can I recall a Hooty? Hooties can be recalled as long as they have not yet been viewed by the recipient. But, the email notification that went to the recipient cannot be recalled. The email notification ____. If I recall a Hooty, what will the recipient see when they respond to the email that notified them of their Hooty? When a Hooty is recalled and a recipient tries to view their Hooty, they will be notified that the Hooty has been recalled. Why can't I always respond when I receive a Hooty? The Sender of the Hooty has the option of whether or not they want to allow responses. How do I cancel and close my account? You will find the Delete Account link in My Account page. Click on the My Account button on the homepage and many other hootycall.com pages. What do I do if I asked for a password a few times and never got anything? Check your spam filter first to see if the emails are there. If they are not, then click HERE. I get a message when I try to sign in telling me I have been banned. What does this mean?
